About the Faculty
A long lineage in business education
For more than a hundred years, the Faculty of Business Studies has been where Bangladesh's business leaders are made, a legacy of rigour, research, and national impact.
Continuity and Evolution
The Faculty is organized around nine academic departments. Each gives a distinct field of business study its own programs, faculty community and disciplinary identity.
Business spans finance, markets, people, information and risk. Each draws on a different body of knowledge, and serious understanding becomes more specialized as the questions become more specific. The Faculty is organized around that reality, with separate departments, programs and faculty communities for each field of business study.
That depth is applied close to home. Bangladeshi firms, industries, consumers, financial institutions and regulation provide a continuing setting for learning and inquiry. The disciplines themselves belong to a wider body of business knowledge that extends across countries and markets.
