About the Department
The Department of International Business (IB), Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, began its journey in 2007. It was set up to develop skilled human resources with strong analytical and decision-making abilities and a clear understanding of diverse, contemporary global issues.
The Department is multidisciplinary by design. Its courses combine core principles of business practice with the effects that different cultures, languages, political structures and economies have on business.

Highlights from the Chairman's message
The Chairman outlines the Department's path from the BBA through the regular and Evening MBA to research degrees, and notes the recent introduction of two specialized programs for working professionals: the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and the Master of International Trade and Business (MITB).
He highlights that every classroom has modern audio-visual equipment and that students can use the University's online library through the Department's own computer lab, all in support of a smooth academic journey.
