Admission & Eligibility
For scholars ready to lead their fields
Candidates must hold an MPhil degree, or a Master's degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (3.0 on a 4.0 scale). University teachers and researchers with a Master's degree and substantial teaching or research experience may also apply.
Admission requires a research synopsis, and candidates with an MPhil degree may complete the PhD in a shorter period subject to the regulations of the department concerned.

The PhD is a four-year program. Candidates with an MPhil degree may complete it in a shorter period, subject to the regulations of the department concerned.
02 Who can apply?
Holders of an MPhil degree, or a Master's degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (3.0 on a 4.0 scale). University teachers and researchers with a Master's degree and substantial teaching or research experience may also apply.
03 Do I need a research proposal?
Yes. Admission requires a research synopsis, submitted to the department in which you propose to conduct your research.
04 Can I move from the MPhil to the PhD?
Yes. MPhil candidates with a CGPA of 3.75 or above may convert to the doctoral program.
05 How is the PhD different from the DBA?
The PhD advances theory: an original contribution to knowledge in your discipline. The DBA advances practice, with applied research for senior professionals and executives.
